Are you unfairly blamed for your family's/chosen family's problems? Do you feel like the black sheep? Do you struggle with your mental health & relationships as a result? If so, I may be a great match for you! I support people that are scapegoated by both their families and society (queer, BIPOC, disabled, neurodivergent, unsheltered, low-income, fat/larger bodied, poly/kink/ENM, etc.) I welcome scapegoats ages 5-95 that are building liberated worlds in their relationships & communities (generational cycle-breakers, healers, radicals, abolitionists, anarchists, etc.) & also people that are just starting their decolonial journeys!

I use a Liberation Psychology lens to identify how historical trauma/oppressive systems shape peoples' circumstances in their families and in society. I collaborate with people in radical imagining the lives they want to build! I believe healing is about cultivating presence, playfulness, physical/emotional/spiritual nourishment, realness, & peace.

I also believe action is the antidote to despair. I love to support people in engaging in collective action! I incorporate spirituality into sessions when people desire to do so. I feel honored to walk alongside people as they connect to the medicine of ancestral/communal/self care. I support people in cultivating joy, creativity, love, & liberation!

I am an anti-racist, anti-colonial Black and Indigenous (Cape Verdean and Purepecha) therapist based in Los Angeles. I hold space for people who desire, are curious, or who are actively dreaming up the new world they want to exist in. Self-discovery often comes with introspection and having to face the lies the world told you. This can be a scary process and your trust is never taken for granted. I offer an open, creative, spiritual, non-judgmental space to exist, be seen, and be heard. I work from a Liberation Ecotherapy Framework, and I often draw from Feminist Theory, Internal Family Systems, Person Centered Theory, and Trauma Informed Emotion Focused Theory.

My approach is very integrative and I focus on what works for the client, meeting everyone exactly where they are in their journey. Clients can rest assured knowing it doesn’t come as any surprise how oppressive systems, systemic injustice, racism, transphobia/homophobia/xenophobia, misogyny, ableism, patriarchy, capitalism and genocide (just to name a few) impacts their lives in a negative way. I have an extensive knowledge in global Social Justice Education and I want to hold space for the ways you have been impacted by the many systems that keep us all from thriving.

I have experience working with LGBTQIA+ folks, SW’ers, kink/poly/swing lifestyle/ENM folks, unhoused community members, folks living with chronic illness, disabled folks, youth, transitional age youth, teens, adults, folks impacted by substance misuse, etc.

If you’re looking for support for yourself, an activist group, in your relationship(s), or even in friendships- I hope to hear from you!
